Overview

Thailand requires a visa for Bangladeshi ordinary passport holders, and there is no visa on arrival. Since January 2025 the whole process is online through the official Thai e-Visa system, so there are no embassy queues.

Visa Compass handles the Thailand e-Visa end to end for travellers from Bangladesh. Pick your visa, upload your documents, and our team reviews and submits your application to the Royal Thai Embassy in Dhaka. You pay in taka, and your passport is only requested by post after approval.

Frequently asked questions

Do Bangladeshi citizens need a visa for Thailand?

Yes. Ordinary Bangladeshi passport holders need a visa before travelling, as Thailand does not offer visa on arrival for Bangladesh. You apply online through the Thai e-Visa system.

How much does the Thailand Tourist Visa cost?

The government charge is 5,305 taka per person: a 4,500 visa fee, a 700 convenience fee, and 105 VAT. It is the same for single and multiple entry. Any Visa Compass service fee is shown separately before you pay.

How long does it take?

A complete application is usually processed in about 7 to 10 working days. During the peak season (October to February) it can take longer, so we suggest applying 6 to 8 weeks before you travel.

How long can I stay in Thailand?

Up to 60 days per entry. You can extend your stay once by 30 days at a Thai immigration office for a local fee.

What is the difference between single and multiple entry?

Single entry is valid for 3 months and lets you enter Thailand once. Multiple entry is valid for 6 months and lets you enter several times, each stay up to 60 days. The price and documents are the same; only the validity differs.

Do I need to send my passport?

Not to apply. The Thailand e-Visa is fully online. The embassy in Dhaka may request your passport by post only after your visa is approved.

What documents do I need?

A passport valid for at least 6 months with 2 blank pages, a recent photo, proof of funds, and your travel and accommodation details. The exact checklist for your purpose is shown on the visa page before you start.

Is the fee refundable?

Government fees are non-refundable, and visa validity starts from the date of issue, not your travel date. That is why we review your documents carefully before submitting.

What is the TDAC?

The Thailand Digital Arrival Card is a separate, free form every traveller files within 72 hours before arrival. It is not part of the visa, and we will remind you about it.
