Visa Compass
Refund Policy
Last updated: 17 July 2026 · Draft pending legal review
Our pricing is itemized so refunds can be too. Every application's price has two parts: the government fee, which we collect on the destination authority's behalf, and our service fees. This page explains what happens to each part in every situation.
1. The government fee
Once we have paid the government fee to the destination authority on your behalf, it is non-refundable — by their rules, not ours. This is true even if the visa is later refused: embassies and e-visa portals do not return the fee on rejection.
If you cancel before we have paid the authority, the government fee is refunded in full.
2. Our service fees
Cancel before your application has been submitted to the official portal and the service portion is refundable. After portal submission the work is done, so service fees are normally not refundable — but if we made an error in handling your application, we refund the service portion in full.
3. A rejected visa
A rejection is decided by the destination authority and does not by itself entitle a refund of the government fee. Where our review missed something we should have caught, we will refund our service portion — talk to support and we will look at the case honestly.
4. How refunds are issued
Refunds go back to the original payment method through our payment processor. Depending on your bank or wallet, it can take a few business days to appear. Every refund shows up against your itemized receipt in your account.
5. How to request one
Contact support with your application reference (VC-… on your dashboard). We confirm what is refundable under this policy before anything moves, and you will receive an email when the refund is issued.
